Safe sleep
Follow Red Nose Australia's safe sleeping recommendations. Your baby's mattress must stay firm, flat and the right size for the cot, and keep the cot free of pillows, bumpers, soft toys and loose bedding. Fit the sleeve snugly with the Velcro fastening secured, and do not use it if there is any loose or rucked fabric. Place your baby on their back with their feet at the bottom of the cot and their head and face uncovered. This is a bedding product. It is not a safety device and makes no claim to reduce the risk of SUDI or SIDS.

The silk
Made from 22-momme 6A-grade 100% mulberry silk. Its smooth surface is gentle on your baby's hair and skin.

Gentler on baby's hair
Silk is reeled as one continuous filament rather than spun from short fibres, so there is less for fine hair to catch on than there is on cotton. Most newborn hair loss is a hormonal shed that no fabric changes. What a smoother surface does is reduce catching and tangling on the hair your baby has.

The fit
The sleeping surface measures 50 cm × 90 cm, sized for standard cot and crib mattresses. A Velcro fastening underneath holds the sleeve flat, taut, and secure. Fits mattress circumferences of approximately 130–160 cm.

Important
Designed for standard cot and crib mattresses only — not suitable for bassinets, cradles, or smaller sleep spaces. Fasten the Velcro firmly underneath and ensure the sleeping surface is smooth and snug before placing your baby down. Monitor your baby closely during the first uses with any new sleep accessory. Care
Each sleeve comes with its own mesh laundry bag. Place the sleeve in the bag and wash it on its own in a front-loading machine, on the silk or delicate cycle, with a detergent made for silk. Air dry, away from direct sunlight. Do not tumble dry. Before each use, check the silk, the seams, the mesh and the Velcro strips, and stop using the sleeve if anything is worn or damaged or the fastening no longer holds.
